Abstract
Nine patients with testicular tumors were treated with CDDP [cis-diamminedichloroplatinum] and the combination of CDDP, vinblastine and bleomycin to treat metastasis. All 4 patients receiving a single administration of CDDP could not achieve a sufficient response. Four of 6 patients treated with CDDP, vinblastine and bleomycin had measurable lung tumors; 3 of them achieved objective response; 1 complete (25%) and 2 partial (50%). Nausea and vomiting were observed in almost all patients, especially in the 3 drug combination therapy. Renal toxicity of CDDP was reduced under sufficient hydration. Leukopenia and thrombocytopenia were seen only in the patients who received combination chemotherapy.
