Cholesterol esters of liver plasma and lipo proteins of rats poisoned with carbon tetra chloride

Cholesterol esters of liver plasma and lipo proteins of rats poisoned with carbon tetra chloride

Pharmacological Research Communications 11(5): 403-412

In rats poisoned by administration of CCl4 there is a total increase of the hepatic cholesterol esters 24 h after the administration, and a total reduction of the plasma cholesterol esters after only 4 h. Among the cholesterol esters, those with higher degree of unsaturation appear to be more affected. Within the single lipoproteic classes, the most considerable variations involve the very low density lipoproteins and the high density lipoproteins.
