Clinical evaluation of a new preparation containing bromopride h 175b in relieving various gastro intestinal symptoms preliminary findings

Clinical evaluation of a new preparation containing bromopride h 175b in relieving various gastro intestinal symptoms preliminary findings

Pharmatherapeutica 2(1): 55-58

An open clinical assessment was carried out in 30 patients presenting with various persistent gastrointestinal symptoms of unknown etiology as an initial evaluation of the efficacy of a new combination product (H 175B) containing bromopride, a surfactant, and digestive enzymes. Excellent or good response, in terms of complete or partial relief of symptoms, was achieved in 83.3% of cases after 10-days' treatment with 15 mg bromopride/day. One patient developed a mild allergic rash which disappeared after stopping treatment. The results were encouraging enough to justify further controlled comparative studies.
