A series of complexes of salicylic acid-thiourea-trioxane polymer and p-hydroxybenzoic acid-thiorea-trioxane polymer were isolated and characterized by elemental analysis and IR data. The antimicrobial activity of these complexes against various bacteria and fungi was studied. Several complexes had fairly high antimicrobial activity. A probable mechanism for the toxic action against various organisms and the IR spectra of these complexes are discussed.
