Comparison of agar gel precipitation test virus neutralization and elisa tests in detection of antibodies against infectious bursal disease

Comparison of agar gel precipitation test virus neutralization and elisa tests in detection of antibodies against infectious bursal disease

Veterinaria Mexico 18(4): 317-324

The presence of antibodies against infectious bursal disease was detected by the agar gel precipitation (AGP), virus neutralization (VN), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) tests using a total of 79 sera from breeders that had been vaccinated with live and oil-emulsified inactivated viruses. A good correlation was found between the three tests. The AGP test was the only one in which false results were found: two positive sera were negative in this test.
