Compression effects on redox potential values in 3 soils

The influence of a compaction on the changes of redox potential values in differently pretreated moutainous soils was investigated. Due to mechanical stresses the redox potential values are reduced, whereby discharging leads to a preload dependent increase of the values. The spatial and load dependent variation of the redox potential values can be measured, due to secondary pores which are built up because of that discharge. The results are discussed with regard to soil genetic questions as well as to soil physical problems.
