Contribution to the knowledge of the oligochaete fauna of thessaly greece

Oligochaeta biotopes (21) were observed from about 25 explorations in different areas of Thessalia. From the collected specimens the following new records for the Greek fauna were found: Pheretima heterochaeta (Michaelsen 1881), Eiseniella tetraedra f. bernensis Ribaucourt 1896, Dendrobaena alpina (Rosa, 1884), D. platyura Fitzinger 1833 and Lumbricus festivus (Savigny, 1826). Among the above species P. heterochaeta derives from southeast Asia (Ljunstrom 1972). In middle Europe this species is mainly found in warm areas (Wilcke, 1967). It is a rare species for the European fauna and especially for the Greek fauna.
