The F1 and F2 of 'Omka,' 'Dolinskaya' and 'Udinskaya' winter rye original tetraploid forms after colchicine treatment were studied. The kernel percentage of the diploid analogs and derivative tetraploid forms is interrelated. The meiosis tetrad stage may be used for the index of the frequency in meiotic disturbances. Tetraploid and diploid rye forms have the same principle of biological heterogeneity for inflorescence: the kernel percentage of the middle part of a spike exceeds that of the upper and lower parts. The greatest partial correlation coefficient was found between the meiosis disturbance frequency at the tetrad stage and the kernel percentage in 'Dolinskaya' and 'Udinskaya' winter rye populations. 'Udinskaya' winter rye, originated from the diploid with greater kernel percentage, it differs from 'Omka' and 'Dolinskaya' in having a lower percentage of anomalous tetrads, a greater percentage of kernel and a greater correlation coefficient between the frequency of anomalous tetrads and the kernel percentage.
