Development of induced nuclear polyhedrosis of nun moth lepidoptera orgyidae lymantria monacha under experimental conditions

Symptomatology and cellular pathology of the disease caused by the nuclear polyhedrosis virus, induced in larvae of the nun moth at suboptimal temperature, does not differ from nuclear polyhedrosis induced by artificial infection. In the beginning of the disease the viruses replicate in the cells of the fat body, epithelium of the trachea, the hypoderm and in the hemolymph cells. Later they replicate in the neuroglia cells and the ovary sheath. The appearance of free viruses and polyhedrons in the intercelluar space was observed after cell disruption in the final stage of the disease.
