The proposed method permitted the study of conditioned reflex alimentary behavior in many species of fish using light, sound and chemical signals. An aquarium was described into which mollusk tissue, fish, etc., may be placed as nutritive reinforcement. The presence of 2 equal lateral corridors in the apparatus, the possibility of using several signals differing in significance in many combinations and provision for free movement of fish were considered.
