Abstract
The preliminary results described in this paper postulate that the contrasting of growth responses immediately after transfer of deficient plant to complete nutrient solution and the solutions each lacking in different essential element, offers a promise as a useful diagnostic tool for determination of nutrient deficiency in plants. This technique yields fairly rapid results within a period of 5-7 days.
