Differences in susceptibility to infection with Fasciola hepatica between mouse strains

, : Differences in susceptibility to infection with Fasciola hepatica between mouse strains. Zeitschrift für Parasitenkunde 56(3): 305-308

Mouse strains (31) are infected by i.p. injection of F. hepatica juvenile flukes to evaluate strain susceptibility, resistance and chemotherapeutic usefulness. Significant differences in mortality rates are obtained between male and female mice in only 1 strain. Variable strain mortality rates and resistance to infection by F1 mice are reported.
