Differences in the biological indices of mature and immature female perch perca fluviatilis of the uglich reservoir ussr

, : Differences in the biological indices of mature and immature female perch perca fluviatilis of the uglich reservoir ussr. Voprosy Ikhtiologii 15(2): 365-368

Data on mature and immature female perch (Perca fluviatilis) of the same age from the Uglich reservoir on the Volga [USSR] were compared. The considerable range of variability of physiological processes (fat accumulation and hepatic metabolic activity) indicated broad adaptive capabilities of this species. The variability of metabolic processes and growth has an effect on the reproductive ability of perch of the reservoir.
