, : Differences in the mechanism of nadph supported and cumene hydro per oxide supported reactions of cytochrome p 450. Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics 200(1): 186-195

The mechanism of NADPH- and cumene hydroperoxide-supported hydroxylation of benzo(a)pyrene as catalyzed by rat liver microsomes was studied using high pressure liquid chromatography, fluorescence and spectrophotometric methods. Repetitive scan difference spectral analysis clearly demonstrated that during the steady state of these reactions, different products were formed.
