Differences in the metabolism of lysosomal lipids in tumors induced by 20 methyl cholanthrene and tumors obtained by transplantation of carcinoma cells

, : Differences in the metabolism of lysosomal lipids in tumors induced by 20 methyl cholanthrene and tumors obtained by transplantation of carcinoma cells. Soobshcheniya Akademii Nauk Gruzinskoi SSR 94(2): 449-452

In lysosomes of tumors obtained by transplantation of carcinoma cells, cholesterol concentration was elevated while in lysosomes of tumors induced by 20-methylcholanthrene, its amount decreased. These changes in cholesterol levels may have been caused by differences in metabolism of phospholipids or of fatty acids in the tumors induced by different carcinogenic agents.
