Differences in the metabolism of lysosomal lipids in tumors induced by 20 methyl cholanthrene and tumors obtained by transplantation of carcinoma cells

Soobshcheniya Akademii Nauk Gruzinskoi SSR 94(2): 449-452
Differences in the metabolism of lysosomal lipids in tumors induced by 20 methyl cholanthrene and tumors obtained by transplantation of carcinoma cells
In lysosomes of tumors obtained by transplantation of carcinoma cells, cholesterol concentration was elevated while in lysosomes of tumors induced by 20-methylcholanthrene, its amount decreased. These changes in cholesterol levels may have been caused by differences in metabolism of phospholipids or of fatty acids in the tumors induced by different carcinogenic agents.
