Studies in the species of the genus Juno Tratt. were conducted in 1983-1985 under natural conditions, culture conditions, by herbarium specimens and available publications. A brief characteristic, area of distribution are presented both on a world scale and in the USSR as well as results of a detailed investigation of ecology and geography for nine species of the genus Juno [Juno bucharica (Foster) Vved., J. coerulea (B. Fedtsch.) Vved., J. orchioides (Carr.) Vved., J. narbuti (O. Fedtsch.) Vved., J. tubergeniana (Foster) Vved., J. kopetdagensis Vved., J. kuschakewiczii (B. Fedtsch.) Poljak, J. magnifica Vved., J. vicaria Vved.].
