Agrokhimiya (4): 71-74



A 3-yr study established that use of fertilizer and optimal planting density of maize and sunflower ensures the accumulation in soil of 22-38 centners/ha of dry mass of plants. Root remains constituted about 1/3 of the entire phytomass. Most of the root remains were in the topsoil horizon (0-20 cm).
