'Rkatsiteli' grapevines were treated with solutions of carbamide, KCl, superphosphate and Bordeaux mixture. Nutrient solutions were applied separately and in different combinations. The nitrate content in leaves increased considerably when NPK and NP were applied. It also increased when superphosphate and carbamide were applied separately. The reasons of the increase of nitrates in the leaves as a result of carbamide application are discussed.
