Effect of forest strips along a highway on the agrochemical and microbiological characteristics of arable land

Effect of forest strips along a highway on the agrochemical and microbiological characteristics of arable land

Sel'skokhozyaistvennaya Biologiya (6): 117-120

The results are represented on influence of motor roads with intensive traffic on soil under clover sowing and role of forest-plantation in this process. The soil agrochemical parameters, biological activity, qualitative and quantitative characteristics of different groups of microorganisms are determined. Sanitary function of forest-plantations is shown. Microorganisms (hyphomycetes) are revealed which may be used as biotest of environmental pollution in these zones.
