S.c. injection of 25 mkg of met-enkephalin to rats makes difficult the elaboration and improves consolidation of temporary connections. The latter becomes especially clear during the injection of met-enkephalin after the elaboration of temporary connections. Under the influence of met-enkephalin, incorporation of 14C-leucine in insoluble proteins of the hippocampus and basal ganglia tissue is enhanced.
