The effect of miliacin (3.beta.-methoxy-.DELTA.18-oleanen), a steroid of plant origin, in a dose of 1-2 mg/kg on the activity of cytoplasmic and lysosomal enzymes was studied in experiments on rats with CCl4-induced acute liver dystrophy. Injection of miliacin favored an earlier normalization of fermentemia and enzymatic activity in the liver.
