Abstract
Varying levels of P (0, 100 ppm), Cu (0, 5 ppm) and Zn (0, 10 ppm) were used. Application of P decreased the content of DTPA-extractable Cu, Zn and Fe but increased that of Mn. Application of Zn increased the content of all the elements studied, whereas that of Cu reduced the content of elements studied, whereas that of Cu reduced the content of extractable Zn and available P, but increased that of extractable Fe and Mn in soil. Application of P, Cu and Zn, obviously increased the extractable content of these elements. The interactions of Zn .times. P, Zn .times. Cu, Cu .times. P and Zn .times. Cu .times. P showed varying effects on the availability of Zn, Cu, Fe, Mn and P in soil.
