Abstract
The effects of implants of trenbolone acetate and resorcylic acid lactone alone, or combined, on weight gain and carcass weight of steers were assessed in 3 experiments. Each implant increased final liveweight, average daily liveweight gain and carcass weight. When both implants were used in the same animal, there was an additive effect, indicating that the 2 compounds act independently.
