Pod yield of groundnut (A. hypogea L.) in relation to variety, P, S and crop spacing was studied under irrigated conditions. The variety M-13 proved to be most suitable variety for Meerut region; Uttar Pradish, India, because of greater pod production per hectare. A dose of 60 kg P2O5/ha was the best. The optimum level of S was 16.28 kg/ha. Groundnut cultivars M-13 grown under the plant density as obtained by 30 .times. 30 cm spacing was superior for pod production per hectare. The other 2 cultivars PG-I and T-28 gave better result at 30 .times. 15 cm spacing.
