Effectiveness of the use of the immuno enzyme method in the diagnosis of echinococcosis and alveococcosis in relation to the degree of antigen purification

Effectiveness of the use of the immuno enzyme method in the diagnosis of echinococcosis and alveococcosis in relation to the degree of antigen purification

Meditsinskaya Parazitologiya i Parazitarnye Bolezni 48(2): 70-76

Immunochemical characteristics and effectiveness of different antigenic fractions of Alveococcus were studied by the immunoenzymatic test in diagnosis of human echinococcosis and alveococcosis. The antigen prepared by multi-step filtration of an alveococcal larvocyst extract was sufficiently active and specific. The highly sensitive immunoenzymatic test required antigens purified from heterogenous and cross-reacting components.
