Effects of delaying the fungicide treatment of soybean glycine max cultivar santa rosa seeds on germination

Soybeans seeds (cv. Santa Rosa) of 2 vigor levels (high and low) were kept for 12 mo. under 2 storage conditions (environment and dry chamber). One part of the sample was treated with thiram [for control of damping off fungi] before storing and thoroughly washed before testing; another part was treated before storing and the fungicide was not washed off before testing; a 3rd portion was stored without any treatment but treated before testing, and a 4th portion was not treated at all. Evaluation was made every 2 mo. by germination tests. The seeds treated only by seeding time germinated as well as those treated before being stored.
