Electrophoretic study of soluble proteins and some enzymes in a tissue culture of tobacco cultivated on media with various additions of parathion

, : Electrophoretic study of soluble proteins and some enzymes in a tissue culture of tobacco cultivated on media with various additions of parathion. Acta Facultatis Rerum Naturalium Universitatis Comenianae Physiologia Plantarum (13): 69-77

In addition to soluble proteins, the content of isoenzymes of peroxidase, catalase and ascorbic acid oxidase were studied in tobacco callus tissue cultures in nutrient media containing different amounts of parathion. Under the influence of parathion or its degradation products, changes result in the spectrum of the soluble proteins and in the isozyme composition, depending on the dose. Parathion was applied in 0.1 mg, 10 mg and 100 mg/L; these are referred to as variants 1, 2 and 3. Variant 1 had a spectrum of soluble proteins equal to untreated controls.

It is shown that these compounds decrease the quantity and the volume of metastases. Acyl d...
