Electrophoretic study of water soluble proteins in seeds of various cotton gossypium spp hybrids

, : Electrophoretic study of water soluble proteins in seeds of various cotton gossypium spp hybrids. Fiziologiya i Biokhimiya Kul'turnykh Rastenii 12(6): 599-602

Certain properties of parental protein inheritance by interspecies tetra- and hexaploid cotton hybrids were studied. Electrophoretic studies determined that cotton hybrids of various genome origins combine all the main spectral components available in the parental forms. There were no definite minor components. The protein content in components of the hybrids, similar by relative electrophoretic mobility to the parental forms, occupies mainly an intermediate position as compared to parental forms.
