Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography in the diagnosis of cystic dilatations of the biliary system

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography in the diagnosis of cystic dilatations of the biliary system

Sbornik Lekarsky 87(7): 193-202

The authors present an account of their experience with the diagnosis of Caroli's disease in routine endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and present 7 patients where the diagnosis was established only when this method of visualization was used. This corresponds to 0.43% of 1692 examined subjects. This is so far the largest group of patients in the CSSR [Czechoslovakia] where Caroli's disease was diagnosed by this method.
