Endoscopic sclerotherapy of bleeding lesions in the upper and lower digestive tract

18 patients with different bleeding sites in the upper and lower digestive tract were treated by endoscopic sclerotherapy to stop acute bleeding. In 12 patients a definitive haemostasis could be achievded. In 3 the result was of short duration, in 3 haemostasis was impossible to achieve. Four patients were susccessfully surgically treated. Three of the 18 patients died. We did not observe any complications.
