Endoscopy and nonabsorbable suture material after gastric surgery

Endoscopy and nonabsorbable suture material after gastric surgery

Acta Medica Romana 18(2): 204-210

Among 1620 endoscopies performed [in patients] over the last 4 yr, 238 were postgastric surgery controls. The presence of nonabsorbable suture material was observed in 24 cases (10%). The incidence of macroscopic lesions following the use of such material and the usefulness of endoscopic removal, were evaluated.
