Endosteal (central) osteoma of the maxilla

Endosteal osteoma is apparently exceedingly rare. A case is described of an endosteal osteoma which developed in the maxilla and was painful. Endosteal osteoma should perhaps be considered in the differential diagnosis of facial pain of obscure origin.
