Epidemiological analysis of the association between leukemia and lymphoma incidence and x ray diagnostic loads

With the aid of correlation and regression analysis a comparison was made of the mean bone marrow irradiation dose due to X-ray diagnostic procedures for 12 yr and the incidence of leukemia and lymphoma for the last 5 yr of the given period in the population of 39 districts of the Kirov region in the USSR. A statistically significant linear dose dependence of leukemia, but not of lymphoma incidence was revealed.
