Epidemiological examinations on bronchopneumopathies with occupation dependent etiology

, : Epidemiological examinations on bronchopneumopathies with occupation dependent etiology. Zeitschrift fuer die Gesamte Hygiene und ihre Grenzgebiete 31(11): 632-633

The level, dynamism and structure of the occupational bronchopneumopathies registered in Bulgaria in the period between 1956 and 1982 are reported. A rising tendency of the relative share of these diseases could be found mainly due to the improved diagnostics. In the structural evaluation the share of chronic bronchitis prevails, followed by the allergoses: bronchospastic states and bronchial asthma. The share of toxic pneumosclerosis is comparatively small. According to professional groups, the percentage of bronchopathies is greatest with medical staff (the allergic ones predominate), followed by those in small factories, in food industry and in the engineering industry. In the chemical industry the toxic pneumoscleroses prevail. The necessity of a further intensification of the watchfulness of the company doctors, occupational pathologists and industrial hygienists for registering this occupational pathology is emphasized.
