A study is made of the psychological behaviour of 50 women with chronic pelvialgia (31 functional and 19 organic cases) in comparison to a control group of 30 women. Chronic pelvialgia is associated to alterations in contact with reality, alterations in emotional control, alterations in terms of the figure of maternity, in terms of feminine identity, presence of menopause symptoms and a greater degree of neuroticism.
