Evaluation of a history questionnaire in dermatologic practice

, : Evaluation of a history questionnaire in dermatologic practice. Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology 5(5): 586-591

In 2/3 of 1236 new dermatology patients a history questionnaire yielded at least 1 relevant item to the presenting complaint. The questionnaire saved physician time, frequently elicited clinically useful information and provided insights as to the patients' general medical state and attitudes. Dermatologists are urged to evaluate a history questionnaire in their practices.
