Evaluation of a method for the enzymatic determination of creatinine after creatine elimination

Giornale Italiano di Chimica Clinica 11(3): 183-188
Evaluation of a method for the enzymatic determination of creatinine after creatine elimination
A method for the creatinine determination is described. The enzymatic reagent catalyzes the following reactions: Creatinine .fwdarw. Sarcosine .fwdarw. H2O2 .fwdarw. Quinone dye. The reproducibility and specificity of the method is higher than the chemical ones. The originality consists in the elimination of endogenous creatine by a preliminary reaction with the alternative possibility to substract its value by an analysis with blank sample.
