The problem of treatment of congenital glaucoma has been a topic of discussion for a long time. It is generally accepted that the treatment is operative, but which operation is the best, is not finally settled. Trabeculectomy, famous for treatment of adult onset glaucoma, was used in the last few yr for treatment of congenital glaucoma, especially the advanced cases and those not controlled by other procedures. Only a few workers have dealt with this relatively new procedure; this work is a trial to evaluate the operation and to reveal its role in controlling congenital glaucoma.
