Evidence of glomerular basement membrane antigens excretion in normal rat urine

, : Evidence of glomerular basement membrane antigens excretion in normal rat urine. Comptes Rendus des Seances de la Societe de Biologie et de ses Filiales 171(2): 355-360

Rabbit antibodies were against rat GBM, with GBM prepared from isolated glomeruli issued from rat renal cortex. It was shown using immunodiffusion that there was excretion of basement membrane-like fragments into normal rat urine. The origin and the nature of this pattern as well as the significance of the presence of antigens in mammalian urine were discussed.
