Evidence of zinc and amino acid composition of alcohol dehydrogenase ec 1.1.1.1 from tea seeds

, : Evidence of zinc and amino acid composition of alcohol dehydrogenase ec 1.1.1.1 from tea seeds. Agricultural and Biological Chemistry 41(4): 713-714

The Zn determination and amino acid composition of tea (Thea sinensis) seed alcohol dehydrogenase was described. o-Phenanthroline and monoiodoacetic acid were potent inhibitors of tea seed alcohol dehydrogenase. They may interact with the Zn and cysteine residues in the active center.
