G. fruticosus was cultivated in the Moldavian SSR as an annual plant. The possibility of cultivating the plant in the Moldavian SSR as medicinal raw material was studied, as were the sowing qualities of seeds of local reproduction and the effect of presowing seed treatment with chemical mutagen solutions on plant development. The climatic conditions of the area did not provide for obtaining mature seeds for plant reproduction. Presowing seed treatment with N-nitroso-methylurea and diethyl sulfate accelerated plant developmental stages, but the seeds were characterized by low germination rate.
