Joint geophysical and soil research was undertaken in the Bagaebsko-Sadkov-sky ameliorative system in the Rostov region [Russian, SFSR USSR], to study the possibility of using the microelectrical soundings method to solve such amelioration problems as determination of the depth of ground-water levels and their mineralization, evaluation of the volume of water soluble salts, and the moisture of rocks over the ground-water level.
