Experience in treating giardiasis using tinidazole

Children (50) presenting Giardia lamblia in fecal examinations were treated with a single administration of tinidazole (50 mg/kg). Stools tests were carried out on days 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 20 and 30, after treatment. Examinations showed efficacy to be 96% by day 3.
