Abstract
Hydrazine sulfate at 60 mg/kg induced a 50% suppression of Walker carcinosarcoma in rats, decreased activity of mitochondrial monoamine oxidase and sharply reduced the activity of some microsomal phosphatases. Vitamin B6 injection some hours before injecting hydrazine sulfate lessened the rate of tumor growth suppression up to 50%. The antitumor effect of hydrazine sulfate may be related to the suppressed monoamine oxidase activity and vitamin B6 deficiency.
