Experimental observations on the effect of amphepramone on the behavior loco motion pentetrazole seizures and electro encephalogram

Experimental observations on the effect of amphepramone on the behavior loco motion pentetrazole seizures and electro encephalogram

Psychopharmacology 50(2): 165-170

Amphepramone, an anorectic agent, has stimulant properties on the CNS in mice, rats and rabbits, producing hypermotility and stereotyped movements which can be antagonized with neuroleptics. The stimulant activity of amphepramone observed in animals can be correlated with the amphetamine-like psychosis observed in humans.
