Expression vector systems and fermentation technology for the production of specific proteins in escherichia coli
A set of plasmid vectors for the manipulation and expression of cloned genes in Escherichia coli is described. The versatility of the vector system is demonstrated and strategies for the optimization of gene expression are illustrated with the construction of strains showing high-level expression of the EcoRI and EcoRV endonuclease. An EcoRI endonuclease overproducing strain was used as model system for the fermentation design on pilot scale.
