Extending moxibustion in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis a clinical observation of 65 cases

, : Extending moxibustion in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis a clinical observation of 65 cases. Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 7(3): 171-176

Rheumatoid arthritis is one of the common diseases encountered in the clinic. Since its etiology is still unclear, there is no ideal treatment at present. Canon of Medicine says: "Acupuncture is not effective for this disease, but moxibustion is indicated." Since 1983 the authors have successfully treated rheumatoid arthritic patients with extending moxibustion.sbd.a traditional therapeutic method widely used in the Shaoxin area of Zhejiang province in treating chronic diseases of the cold type in summer time. The following is a clinical observation of 65 cases of rheumatoid arthritis with relevant data.
