Extension of range for 2 symphylid species symphyla scolopendrellidae

Extension of range for 2 symphylid species symphyla scolopendrellidae

Entomological News 91(1): 15-18

Symphylids collected in Michigan [USA] were identified as Symphylella vulgaris (Hansen) and Scolopendrellopsis (Symphylellopsis) subnuda (Hansen). S. vulgaris has been reported in North America only from California, [USA] while S. (S.) subnuda has not previously been reported from North America. This undoubtedly reflects limited collection and sporadic identification.
