Fauna of land mollusks in populated areas of the valdai hills and adjacent territories ussr

The mollusk fauna in the urban areas of the Kalinin, Novgorod and Pskov (south) Districts [West Russian SFSR], as well as in Moscow and Leningrad were studied. No principal differences were found between the faunas of towns and villages. Species connected with the cereals predominate everywhere in the anthropogenic biotopes. The heat- and moisture-loving species are somewhat more spread in the towns.
