Features of gley podzolic soils of the northern taiga of the mezen river basin russian sfsr ussr and their agricultural utilization

Izvestiya Timiryazevskoi Sel'skokhozyaistvennoi Akademii (6): 91-97

Data on mechanical and bulk composition, physical and chemical properties and group-and-fraction composition of humus of gley-podzolic soils, formed on moraine non-calcareous deposits, is presented. Despite long cultivation of gley-podzolic soils and favorable changes in some physical and chemical properties, composition of humus remained fulvate along the whole profile.
